I'm looking for a small tractor for mowing and light landscaping work(homeowner not commercial). This one is advertised in the local trading post - 1990 Kubota B5200E, 13HP, 2WD, 3PH with turf tires and 48" mid mower. $4200obo.
I can't seem to find much info on this model. Web searches come up empty. 13HP sounds a bit weak for anything other than lawn mowing. If I could find an FEL to fit, would it have enough power to make use of it?
Thanks!
Patrick

B5200E...This orange, much like it's slightly bigger sisters, the B6200E,7200E,8200E,9200E, were manufactured with only 2wd.
Power wise, I have a couple of B5200DT, 4wd units. They come in at 13HP on the engine and 11.5 HP on the PTO.
Depending on what your objectives are long term as well as short term, I presently use a B650 Woods Backhoe on one and on another, I have a 58 inch Rototiller. Plenty of power, since 1987. Thirteen HP may sound weak, however you can't compare with your typical lawn mower from the hardware store at 13 HP. These are 3cyl diesels, and are geared for power.
As you mentioned the FEL, 2wd will work, however, you'll need considerable weight in the rear for traction, as it would not have the front wheel drive assist of a 4wd unit.
Orange had a B1630,rigid mount, B1640 quick mount, and a B1640A quick mount FEL available . Now, there tough to come by, and very pricey. "KOYKER" makes a FEL that fits very nicely for about $2600. Model 110 FEL. Put one on myself, well not on myself...on the orange, and works fine.

Thanks WillieH,
That's good info. The main use for the FEL would be to move some topsoil around. I'll give the owner a call. Does the price sound about right? According to the ad, 462 hours and "excellent condition".
